Climate Cultists Assault Global Warming Skeptic During Live Interview

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Aghast that someone dared challenge the sanctity of Al Gore’s holy climate empire, global warming loons pelted journalist Phelim McAleer with objects during a live television interview, proving once again the extreme left’s constant preaching of tolerance doesn’t extend to tolerating the free speech of anyone who disagrees with them.

McAleer has been hounded, assaulted and silenced at every turn during the Copenhagen summit by free-speech hating thugs and their ever enthusiastic supporters – the climate cultists who recoil in horror every time their belief system is questioned.

During a press conference on Monday, McAleer committed the dastardly offense of asking Professor Stephen Schneider a question about the Climategate scandal, an action that was met with an armed response from a UN thug who bandied around threats before kicking McAleer and his cameraman out of the event.

Later in the week, McAleer had the temerity to ask Al Gore a similar question. UN gestapo reacted by yanking his microphone from his hand and disconnecting the wire.

As the contrived science behind man-made climate change crumbles and the entire premise of the Copenhagen summit fails spectacularly, its adherents are acting out in desperation and turning to violence in an attempt to slam the lid shut on the truth.

The latest incident offers ample proof that the befuddled, misguided environmentalists, cheerleaders for policies that are killing millions of people in the third world, have no interest whatsoever in debating the science behind global warming, resorting to emotional adolescent reactions and throwing violent temper tantrums towards anyone who so much as raises an eyebrow in response to their increasingly wild claims.

These are the people who run around car parks smashing the windows and spiking the tires of SUVs, thinking they are saving the planet from armageddon. You won’t see a climate skeptic damage property or violently attack an environmentalist in an effort to get their point across, but apparently the eco-mentalists somehow think they are above the law.

They are the ones engaging in mob intimidation tactics to silence free speech but when anyone calls them out on it, as Lord Monckton did last week when he labeled them “Hitler Youth,” the victims of their antics are then castigated by the establishment media.

Apparently, the “debate is over” mantra will not be rightfully maintained by reliable science and honest professionals citing verifiable facts, it will be enforced by intimidation, violence and the aggressive silencing of anyone who even attempts to express a scintilla of skepticism by a cadre of screaming cult members.

Officials and Experts Warn of Crash-Induced Unrest

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Numerous high-level officials and experts warn that the economic crisis could lead to unrest world-wide – even in developed countries:

  • Today, Moody’s warned that future tax rises and spending cuts could trigger social unrest in a range of countries from the developing to the developed world, that in the coming years, evidence of social unrest and public tension may become just as important signs of whether a country will be able to adapt as traditional economic metrics, and that a fiscal crisis remains a possibility for a leading economy, it said that 2010 would be a “tumultuous year for sovereign debt issuers”.
  • The U.S. Army War College warned in 2008 November warned in amonograph [click on Policypointers’ pdf link to see the report] titled “Known Unknowns: Unconventional ‘Strategic Shocks’ in Defense Strategy Development” of crash-induced unrest:

The military must be prepared, the document warned, for a “violent, strategic dislocation inside the United States,” which could be provoked by “unforeseen economic collapse,” “purposeful domestic resistance,” “pervasive public health emergencies” or “loss of functioning political and legal order.” The “widespread civil violence,” the document said, “would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities in extremis to defend basic domestic order and human security.” “An American government and defense establishment lulled into complacency by a long-secure domestic order would be forced to rapidly divest some or most external security commitments in order to address rapidly expanding human insecurity at home,” it went on. “Under the most extreme circumstances, this might include use of military force against hostile groups inside the United States. Further, DoD [the Department of Defense] would be, by necessity, an essential enabling hub for the continuity of political authority in a multi-state or nationwide civil conflict or disturbance,” the document read.

  • Director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair said:

“The global economic crisis … already looms as the most serious one in decades, if not in centuries … Economic crises increase the risk of regime-threatening instability if they are prolonged for a one- or two-year period,” said Blair. “And instability can loosen the fragile hold that many developing countries have on law and order, which can spill out in dangerous ways into the international community.”***

“Statistical modeling shows that economic crises increase the risk of regime-threatening instability if they persist over a one-to-two-year period.”***

“The crisis has been ongoing for over a year, and economists are divided over whether and when we could hit bottom. Some even fear that the recession could further deepen and reach the level of the Great Depression. Of course, all of us recall the dramatic political consequences wrought by the economic turmoil of the 1920s and 1930s in Europe, the instability, and high levels of violent extremism.”

Blair made it clear that – while unrest was currently only happening in Europe – he was worried this could happen within the United States.

  • Former national security director Zbigniew Brzezinski warned “there’s going to be growing conflict between the classes and if people are unemployed and really hurting, hell, there could be even riots.”
  • The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff warned the the financial crisis is the highest national security concern for the U.S., and warned that the fallout from the crisis could lead to of “greater instability”.

Relatives of 9/11 victims ask appeals court to move Ground Zero debris from landfill to burial site

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Diane and Kurt Horning (l.) and Barbara and Paul Kirwin (r.), whose sons died on 9/11, leave the Manhattan Federal Court Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Relatives of 9/11 victims asked an appeals court Wednesday to force the city to move tons of Ground Zero debris from the Staten Island landfill to a proper burial site.

The families contend the debris includes remains of loved ones, while the city says there is nothing identifiable there – and it would cost too much to move it away from household trash.

“There is no reason for all eternity that my son has to be in the garbage,” said Diane Horning, whose 26-year-old son, Matthew, was killed at the World Trade Center.

Seventeen families are seeking the right to sue the city from theSecond Circuit Court of Appeals.

They hope to force the city to move more than 1 million tons of debris – even if it’s just across the street.

The three-member appeals panel heard arguments and is reviewing the matter.

“Digging up the landfill simply because somebody’s loves ones might be there – that’s not a sufficient reason,” the city’s hired legal gun, James Tyrrell Jr., told the court.

Later, Tyrrell said the city made a Herculean effort to clean the debris before it was sent to the landfill, and the “undifferentiated dirt” left does not need special handling.

“To pick it all up and move it at the costs of hundreds of millions of dollars to taxpayers is not what is called for,” he said after the hearing.

But to the families, it’s not just dirt, said their lawyer, Norman Siegel.

“It’s remains,” Siegel told Judge Barrington Parker. “Your loved ones, Judge Parker, on top of household garbage.”

Siegel said Matthew Horning’s wallet and a bone were found at the landfill in 2002.

Families claim credit cards, identification, and possible bones have been pulled from the dump more recently.

Siegel said witness reported seeing Sanitation employees taking debris off conveyor belts, loading up tractors and using the dirt to “fill pot holes, dips and ruts.”

“Pot holes,” Siegel said for emphasis.

A lower court judge dismissed the families’ claims in August, saying that “not every wrong can be addressed through the judicial process.”

Of the nearly 2,800 people who died at the trade center during the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, remains for 1,100 have never been identified.
